Wade Figurine, Wynken, Vintage, Wynken, Blynken and Nod, with Flowers

A nice collectible ceramic figurine of Wynken (of "Wynken, Blynken, and Nod" fame) from the imagination of England's Wade pottery company. 

Made between 1948 and 1952.

This little boy Nod, all in soft blue cheekishly clutches a pretty bouquet of flowers whilst standing upon a mound of green ceramic grass with colourful flower blooms.  Short light brown hair.  

Clearly hallmarked on the base.

The Wade company was known for creating many whimsical small figurines (indeed, they are often referred to by collectors as "Whimsies") for promotional purposes.  Some folks may recall collecting "Red Rose Tea Figurines" from packets of Red Rose tea back in the early 1970s.  These little wonders were made by the same Wade company.

About 3" high.

In good vintage condition with some light wear to the some of the edges of the flower petals on the base of this figurine and very light crazing on Wynken's head..
