An interesting vintage Medalta Pottery mug.

This rare large mug has turquoise blue lettering and a cartoon-like caricature image of a stage production image on the front of the mug:

"BEER AND SKITS
"SILVER JUBILEE EDITION
"APRIL 26 1958
"THE WINNIPEG PRESS CLUB"

The base is stamped "NEW MEDALTA CERAMICS".

The c-shaped handle is of generous size.

Created from clay from the banks of Alberta's South Saskatchewan by Medicine Hat following a tradition of western ceramics making that began as early as 1885.

There is some wear to the finish including crackling and is otherwise in very good condition, with no chips or cracks..
