This is a large beautifully and uniquely hand painted vase from the famous Hungarian ceramic maker Herend.

Herend's  Victoria pattern is a floral design which was favoured by Queen Victoria.   

The painters of Herend were allowed a degree of free license in the distribution of these motifs, so every hand painted Herend Victoria piece has a unique array of the butterflies and flowers of the Victoria pattern.

Ornate gilded handles.
