Features an cute little shirtless anthropomorphic rabbit of ceramic stonecraft, wearing dark green/turquoise pants, (RARE), a light turquoise head band, and turquoise and white tennis shoes.
This little creature appears to have the most serious expression on his face with his eyes expressively gazing skyward as he holds up the yellow tennis ball in his left hand while preparing the tennis racquet in his right hand to serve.
A white handkerchief peeks out from the left back pocket. the pocket is marked, "DNR".
The original foil sticker upon the base states: "MADE IN BURNLEY ENGLAND".
These fanciful anthropomorphized rabbit figurines came from the lively imaginations of artists Jeannie Todd and Jean Walmsley Heap. Production of these figurines began in the 1950s. The primary designer of these Pendelfin rabbit figurines, Jean Walmsley Heap, passed away in 2008 and the production of Pendelfin from England virtually ceased. This item is an example of work produced in England under the Pendelfin name before production of these was moved overseas.
Manufactured in England from 1987 TO 1994.
About 3.5" high.
In excellent condition.
