A nice "Lily Weaver" figurine from Royal Doulton's Brambley Hedge series.  D, B. H. 19, 1988.

A cute little anthropomorphized mouse of the female persuasion, in apron and cape with a twisted skein of yarn held between both hands.

The "Brambly Hedge" mouse figurines are based on the books of the same name by Jill Barklem.

Jill was an astounding artist who created these mice characters and put together a beautiful series of books intended for young children despite her seriously handicapped vision.  She passed away in 2017. 

2020 marks the 40th anniversary of the first publication of the Brambly Hedge books.

Produced and hand painted in England before Royal Doulton production shifted overseas.

Taken from the art of Jill Barklem.  England.  3" high.  Mint condition.
