A nice Tazza or pedestal bowl (compote bowl) from England's famous Royal Doulton, makers of fine bone china.

This hand painted "Roses G" or "Wild Rose" D6227 pattern was introduced by Royal Doulton in the 1940's.

Dramatically luscious peachy pink and red wild rose blossoms with bright yellow centres are laid over the mottled cobalt blue and brown background of the bowl interior. 

The exterior is of the same mottled cobalt blue and brown.

The serpentine rim is trimmed in brown.

The maker's marks on the bottom of the pedestal would indicate that this piece was made in 1952.

In excellent condition.

Very rare.
