A delightful old-fashioned round cup and saucer, tea cup,  in a pinkish red colour from The Constable Series, Bicentennial 1776-1976 from J Broadhurst Ironstone of Staffordshire, England.

Created in England for the American market in commemoration of The Bicentennial celebrations for the 200th anniversary of independence for the united States of America.

The underglaze label upon the underside also states "underglaze detergent and Dishwasher proof."

This pattern features an idealistic scene of outdoor pioneer scene from long ago days of 1776, depicting a popular red etched house or cabin, all surrounded by a floral and leaf red etched broad border pattern.

In good vintage condition.
