Wade, Blynken Figurine, Seated, Vintage, No Flowers, Larger

A collectible ceramic figurine of Blynken (of "Wynken, Blynken, and Nod" fame) from the imagination of England's Wade pottery company.  

As a well established company, Wade was producing these figurines in England in the 1950s.

This little boy Blynken, all in soft blue with an engaging little potbelly, is seated upon a green mound, with a little ladybug nibbling at his foot.

The Wade company was known for creating many whimsical small figurines (indeed, they are often referred to by collectors as "Whimsies") for promotional purposes.  Some folks may recall collecting "Red Rose Tea Figurines" from packets of Red Rose tea back in the early 1970s.  These little wonders were made by the same Wade company.

There is no apparent damage to this item (please view images).
